Around the World in 80 Days
Travelling around the world in 1870 was more of a challenge than it is today, as the airplane had not been invented yet.

Three cities on Phileas Fogg's route, that you could visit too!

Suez- This waterway in Egypt connects the Mediterranean Sea and the Red sea. A revelation when it was first built as it provided access between Asia and Europe without having to go all the way around Africa. A great way to see the Canal is on a Cruise. Whillst in Egypt also visit sites like the Sphinx and the Pyramids at Giza, or the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

New York – You will never find a shortage of things to do in the 'Big Apple'. Highlights include climbing to the top of the Empire State building, visiting Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty, and strolling or even taking a horse and carriage ride around Central Park.

Hong Kong –This busy and exciting city can be overwhelming at first, but the packed strrets offer loads for tourists to discover. The Tian Tan Buddha is a giant Buddha statue that symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature. To get away from the crowds visit Victoria Peak, known to many as just the 'Peak' it is the perfect place to watch the sun set over the city.

Holiday maker Sean told us about Copenhagen.

"Copenhagen is still free of skyscrapers, and the old classic buildings with green roofs and many spires are covered by corrugated copper and give Copenhagen a special charm... "
